I garnered an insight into turn of the century Australia and how much our country has changed, not only geographically, but how families functioned and the role of children in society.

I cannot begin to express how much I simply adored it. It completely changed my perspective on fxcey And then to call this roller-coaster tale A Fortunate Life! If the author had been more aware of the conventions and devices of writing and a great deal more literate he might have made more of this and perhaps even changed the date of his birth to get a perfect fit.
